First Time Playing Soccer

This year, Savannah was FINALLY old enough to partake in multiple summer recreation activities!  One of the activities she picked was soccer.  She has never played before.  However, a number of her kindergarted friends were going to try it out and she wanted to as well....how could I say no!? 

We even bought special soccer socks and shin - guards (those proved to be quite necessary!)

 Her favorite position to play was GOALIE!!

 There was even an attempt or two at hitting the ball with something OTHER than her foot!  Such as her KNEE (below)!

 Did you know that if the ball goes out of bounds while the opposing team is attempting to make a goal, the GOALIE is the one who gets to kick the ball back into play!?  I'm thinking this is a big factor in why she liked to be goalie so much!! 

 Here Savannah posed with one of her "besties" K.J.  They are SO CUTE...and tend to talk a little too much when they SHOULD be playing soccer!!  Hahahahaha!!  Good job Savannah!  It was FUN watching you!
