It's FIRE SAFETY WEEK! Do you all remember how to STOP...DROP...and ROLL!?! If not, this little fire-girl is here to remind you in her hand-made fireman's jacket and helmet! SO FUN!

In our house, birthday's are very important! Each birthday person gets to pick where we eat for supper and we always try to go out on their actual birthday! This year, Parker picked a fun, new place in Fargo called KOBE'S - it's Japanese Cuisine where you sit "family style" (yes, with people you don't know if your party is less than 12), you sit AROUND the grill, and a Japanese person (in our case, a man) cooks your order RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU! YEAY FUN! Our chef came out singing and banging, twirling his spatula into the air..."everybody dance now"!
He first cooked the Japanese rice (after tossing the raw eggs into his hat!), "dealt" it out (literally!), we got mushroom soup with fun little spoons and cute little dishes for our sauces too! Then, while he was cooking everyone's order, he would toss veggies into your mouth and if you caught it, he squirted "SAKI!!!!!" into your mouth! Makes me giggle just thinkin' about it! For the kids, there was Mt. Dew in the container.
Jersey Day for Sweet Pea
Since the TWINS are (were) doing so well, Savannah's daycare decided to have a TWINS day to show their support! Since Sweet Pea didn't have a jersey, her big brother Aiden Lee let her wear his! Aaahhhwwww...isn't that sweet!?
PARKER TURNS 10!
And to celebrate, he wanted a party at a POOL! I felt so bad for Parker at the beginning because he was so excited for so long about the party, he got a really bad headache! BUT! After some "adult strength" medicine and about a half hour, he was ready to ROCK!
At the Radisson hotel, the birthday package came with 12 wristbands for the pool "park". Parker got to invite 9 friends...let's just say I'm RELIEVED he didn't want to have a party at our HOUSE!! 9 wild and crazy boys along with Aiden and Savannah for 3 hours in an enclosed pool area (acousitcs are amazing in there, don'tcha know!) was enough to give ME a headache! Ha, ha, ha...
All in all it was a GREAT party, everyone had fun swimming, eating pizza, cake and ice cream and "sneaking" into the sauna - you're supposed to be 12 to go in there and the "pool nazi" as we affectionately called him, was VERY good at telling the boys they "can't do this and can't do that"! Parker is lucky to have such good friends.

I had to work a 12 hour shift on our anniversary...BUMMER! But Chad had THIS waiting for me when I got home, SUSHI! He even laid it all out on ice with a candle and a glass of wine...so sweet!
And my three FAVORITE kiddo's in the world were there to share it with us!! They're so cute, I'll forgive them for eating most of my California Rolls!! Wednesday, October 7, 2009
Chocolate & Chili
This post is an anniversary post, of sorts. It represents the fact that I've officially had this blogsite for ONE YEAR! My VERY first post was of this same function a year ago...although, you may find that the individuals in the pictures are different!
The kids and I supported our community WYCA by attending this event and goreging ouselves on CHOCOLATE and CHILI! Can YOU think of a better way to spend the afternoon!?!

All in all, it was a fun and educational afternoon. There was live music and a silent auction as well! Parker even won an autographed Chris Coste bat that he actually USED! He's a baseball player on the Philadelphia Phillies who played for our Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks! Parker is pretty proud!
