Twins Game '09

Friday September 11th, 2009
During our fun, family-filled weekend, we got to attend a Minnesota Twins Baseball Game (thanks to Grandma Joey!). It was an evening game and I believe it was the first Major League ball game for Aiden and Savannah (quite possibly for our cousins Noah & Brody as well). The kids were GREAT and we had a BLAST! Parker kept saying, "Man mom, we are SO LUCKY to get to do this stuff...and with our cousins!" What a sweetie.
It's almost like "Where's Waldo"...can you find Parker's head!? They had this set up just outside the doors we went into & I couldn't resist! I had all 3 kids put their head in there...and then I did it too!!
The catcher: Joe Mauer
Pitcher: Nick Blackburn
GO, GO GOMEZ!
Dana & her boys! Noah..that's a cute face!
Savannah even got a new PINK sweatshirt out of the deal! She was "cold" & Dad thought it was SO CUTE, OF COURSE he bought it for her! I'm willing to bet that even if she wasn't cold, it would still be hers!
The boys were enamoured with the whole thing! They loved the sights, the sounds AND the smells!! They were even QUIET...for a while! ha, ha, ha!
Me and my Aiden Lee...AFTER he got fed and stopped being EXTREMELY crabby! Good thing he's so adorable...at times, he makes me realize why SOME species EAT THEIR YOUNG! HA!
Shane and Noah chillin'. Noah is sportin' his NEW Twins shirt! Can't get those in Florida!
He's SUCH a carnivore! He at the ENTIRE time we were there!
Me and the SWEETEST 9 (almost 10) year old on Earth! This child was SUCH a wonderful helper this weekend!
SMILES for the boys!
Dana and Shane ~ what a cute couple!
These LUCKY, LUCKY, and BLESSED children ALL got Twin's Baseballs from Grandma Joey!! THANKS GRANDMA!! YOU ROCK!!
At the end of the night: WE LOVE BASEBALL!
While we had a super time, it's a good thing they sell ADULT beverages at these games...Joey just might think twice before doing this again! Hahahaha~what a good sport she is!

Puttin' Around the Mall of America

We spent part of the afternoon at the Mall of America today...first stop: Moose Mountain Mini Golf!
Kids being silly...o.k, o.k., AND CUTE!
Decor
Who SAYS you can't golf in a skirt, fuzzy sweater-shirt, tights and dress shoes!?
They even got hats. These boys are DARLING!
More decor...this was a tricky hole!
Even Brody loves to putt-putt!!
The MOTLEY CREW!
My lil' tough guy
Can you just IMAGINE what it would be like to go ANYWHERE with me!? Maybe I need to chill out a little on the pics! It's like I'm OBSESSED!
Perfect setup for a picture...too bad Savannah had to be DRAGGED off to the bathroom!
He, he, he...I think this speaks for itself!
The FROG HOPPER (actually it's called the Wonder Pets sailing ride or something now..) is Savannah's FAVORITE ride! It goes to the tippy-top and then B-O-U-N-C-E-S down!! Can you see her face in this pic!?!?
The boys coming out of the ride where you go into a sort-of "haunted house" and you get to shoot lasers at "monsters"! Aiden likes to pretend he's driving!
Parker, Aiden & I went on the Bikini Bottom Plunge...which was AWESOME! Chad took this picture for me. If you look close, you can see the 3 of us in the back row: Aiden on the ouside, me in the middle & Parker on the right! Aiden was a little "freaked out" because the top of the plummet was SO CLOSE to the GLASS ceiling of the mall!
Savannah & Daddy on the Log Ride...looks like fun, huh!?

Happy Birthday Colby

We traveled to Minneapolis on September 10th in an attempt to suprise Chad's brother Colby on his 30th birthday. Ahhh the fun that makes up our lives!!
Savannah & Noah are the first ones to the lobby of the hotel...they were READY TO GO!
Here is my mother in law, Joey, walking the streets in downtown Minneapolis with all these balloons! There are 30 balloons~get it? Colby is 30 today! Since there are 5 grandchildren, they each get to hold a bouquet of 6 balloons when they jump out at Colby and yell, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY UNCLE COLBY"!!
At Colby & Ilea's hotel (about 5 blocks from ours), TRYING to be waiting patitently!
They are hiding around the corner from the elevators...you can IMAGINE the looks we were getting. Them like this and me standing there with the camera poised ready to shoot! Oh DEAR...this is FUN!
He looks suprised to me! It was pretty funny, Ilea did a GREAT job planning and getting this organized. If you think about it, we are truely blessed to be able to gather together like this...we haven't ALL been together since Colby's wedding!
Colby & the kids..how cute!
The JUNTUNEN BOYS...aren't they CUTE!?!
The lucky LADIES of the BROTHERS!
We begin our trek to the restaurant
This is the chandelier as you walk down the steps to the enterance of the restaraunt...HELL'S KITCHEN
The boy cousins~Brody, Aiden, Noah & Parker
Colby and his Mama!
Savannah & Ilea had matching "PRINCESS" tattoos!
Dana (Shane's wife) and I. We don't get to see them NEARLY enough! They live in Florida!
Aiden was MESMERIZED by the live music...it was a guy with a guitar & a harmonica, a guy with a chello that he played like a bass & a drummer. They reminded me of a group you'd see in the 50's...very cool!
GOOD FOOD at Hell's Kitchen! We give it a THUMBS UP!
We went back to the hotel, put the kiddos to bed with a sitter and hit the sports bar in the hotel to watch the Steelers game...yes, that's Colby's team! I can't remember what these are called, but I believe I had about 6 of them..ha, ha, ha!
Cute Couple! Hope you had a WONDERFUL birthday, Colby! We sure had a BLAST spending it with you!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL 2009

September 8th, 2009
Aiden ~ my PROUD 1st GRADER!!
Sweet Parker...ready to tackle 4th GRADE!!
Your traditional "stand by the door" picture! I hope they will ALWAYS be good friends!
Gotta get our little Sweet Pea in on the action!
A backpack shot with the neighbor boys Nick and Benny!

Parker was NOT impressed that I took this picture; however, I reminded him that I could always FOLLOW HIM INTO the school and take pictures! That got me an eye roll and an "awww MOM!!" ~ he, he!

Good luck on your new adventures in 1st and 4th grade, boys! I'll be thinkin' about you all day & can't WAIT to hear how your days went when I pick you up!! LOVE YOU!
