October 6th, 2009

In our house, birthday's are very important! Each birthday person gets to pick where we eat for supper and we always try to go out on their actual birthday! This year, Parker picked a fun, new place in Fargo called KOBE'S - it's Japanese Cuisine where you sit "family style" (yes, with people you don't know if your party is less than 12), you sit AROUND the grill, and a Japanese person (in our case, a man) cooks your order RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU! YEAY FUN! Our chef came out singing and banging, twirling his spatula into the air..."everybody dance now"!
He first cooked the Japanese rice (after tossing the raw eggs into his hat!), "dealt" it out (literally!), we got mushroom soup with fun little spoons and cute little dishes for our sauces too! Then, while he was cooking everyone's order, he would toss veggies into your mouth and if you caught it, he squirted "SAKI!!!!!" into your mouth! Makes me giggle just thinkin' about it! For the kids, there was Mt. Dew in the container.
The decor inside was beautiful!! There was this bridge over a pond of Koi fish!
Cute menu
Aiden loved the mushroom soup!
Parker shows off the cute plates, chop stix & his Clifornia roll!
Savannah loves sushi!
The Chefs ARRIVAL! Let the FUN begin!!
Lightin' the onions on fire! Gotta have CRISP onions!
Here is our order...WITH a side of veggies! The plates are HUGE! The kids had chicken and scallops, Chad and I had steak and shrimp. I'm pretty sure the guy across from me was TOTALLY impressed with my camera taking abilities!
Our chef was pretty funny!
SAKI!!
Parker even got a sundae of fried ice cream! That little stinker DID NOT SHARE! hahahahaha!
I asked the waitress to take our picture! Can you see the saki on Chad's shirt!?
