Iron Man 2

Today the family went to see the movie Iron Man II at the historic Fargo Theature... I love this place!
Three little goobers ready for a movie!

We are obviously happy to be here!
The old organ that used to be played during musicals, silent movies, ect...
The kiddo's wanted to sit in the balcony!
After the movie (which, was not as good as the first one in my opinion!) --- it's OFF to Mexican Village for supper...yummy!!

Yunker Farm, 2010

I don't know if I've ever blogged about Yunker Farm before...it's an old farmstead in Fargo that was turned into an educational center for kids! As you can see...it's COLD out today! What better way to spend our Saturday than staying warm and exercising our brains!?
Savannah and Grace...such "besties"! Yes...they ARE wearing skirts, but they are GIRLS afterall and there isn't much time for them to be worn! At least we have our HOODS!!
Map of the world and a globe...you're supposed to find the racoon using clues and a picture on the globe!
Here Aiden is putting together a large, magnetic, MAP of the United States!! GO BUDDY!
Savannah milking a cow....what?! We DO LIVE in MN/ND, folks!!
A giant mouth you can brush the teeth, there are trivia questions, the teeth even come out and tell you when you can expect them to fall out of your mouth! See those dots on the tongue? Those are the different tastes your tongue senses...sweet, sour, etc! So fun!
Parker is SUCH a good sport! He is WAYYYY TO BIG for this place; however, he plays along and helps "educate" the littler ones! This is a HUGE listening dish...on the other side of the house is the other one...it's kinda like the concept of a phone that is made out of cans and a string. The cool part is that he could ACTUALLY HEAR ME when I whispered into the one across the house!
PRINCESS THRONE!! MAKE WAY FOR YOUR HIGHNESSES...her ladyship SAVANNAH, and her ladyship GRACE!
Yep, they have an ACTUAL LIVE, WORKING bee hive in this place!
It was just LUCKY that this educational beehive had enough spaces for our oldest little "worker bees"!! Aren't they CUTE!? And, I only had to ask ONCE and took this pic in ONE TAKE! Man, they are GOOD!!
Too stinkin' cute, right!? Yeah...you WISH you could hate them, but they are as beautiful and wholesome on the INSIDE as they appear on the OUTSIDE! We really have a special place in our hearts for the Perry family! (if you've been following my blog, this is the product of those maternity pix I have posted of my girlfriend Angie!)
Here we find our "BOYS" in the "Reading Nook"...it's a little library section of the house that has a couple of spots for reading with comfy pillows and an actual "nook" for those that really want to get away! Isaac carried this fruit from another section of the house and I found Parker in here reading to Aiden...that boy AMAZES me...it was a good day!

Tea Party

Here we are on a Saturday afternoon...mom is running around like a crazy person trying to get laundry done, chasing Aiden around trying to get him ready for gymnastics (Savannah has had her leotard on since waking up), making sure Parker has his bowling ball, shoes, socks, etc...and what is our little Miss Savannah Rayne doing?
Well, she is having herself a sweet, QUIET little tea party! She had filled up this set with water and was having tea with her princess friends...you know, Belle, Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty --- they were all in attendance!! Sometimes it's nice to enjoy the quiet imaginations of GIRLS!

Parker's Valentine Bags

This year for Valentine's Day at school, the 4th graders were faced with a "creative challenge"---they got to take home a brown paper bag and they had to decorate them with things they like. The instruction sheet TOLD them to use stickers, props, drawings, ect, and if they did all that, they earned these special "points". These "points" could get them "treats" from the class "treat bin" (can you tell how supportive I am of FORCING kids to be creative and making them think that the more "stuff" they have to put on their bags, the more "points" they will get!? GOOD GRIEF!). Anyway, Parker has TWO classes he goes to during the day so he had to make TWO of these darned bags!
For his main class, he chose a Football theme. Isn't this cute!? It was all his idea...even the little prop! We don't have toy football players so we substituted a wrestler---oh well! I love that he thought of having the little sticker football look as though it is flying! My creative input was using straws to make the goal posts "pop out"!!
Parker also enjoys COOKING---so he thought up this little bag! Isn't it cute? We hand-drew the mitt and on the back, we used a recipe card and he HAND WROTE the recipe for Sheppards Pie (sp?) on it! He sure is thorough! It was REALLY fun working with him on this and seeing his thoughts come to life!
Look at these beautiful works of art!! Great job and creativity, Parker!! And yes, he earned ALL the points for his efforts!

Ahhh Boys

Today Parker came in after school and said, "Mom, can Austin come over so we can do our math homework?"--- I asked Parker if he needed help with his homework and he said, "Nah...we just thought it would be more fun to do it together---and then afterwards, maybe we can be rewarded with some video game time"! A-HA! I knew it was too good to be true! But, I said yes...and punished them by taking pictures!!!

My SHORT Haircut!

Today is the day Savannah Rayne decided to "cut my hair short like Ashley's" (her buddy from daycare & preschool). Gma Pam just happened to be around...here she is before....
during...hmmm, I wonder how many pics I have of my mother's hands!?
And AFTER! Isn't she cute!? She just LOVES IT!
Can you tell?! There's that sassy look we all know and love!
Sweet, Sweet Savannah...YOU ARE TOO CUTE!
Thanks Grandma
Pam for the NEW DO!

Get It?

I REALLY hate it when it's icy and some JERK cuts in front of me about 2 inches off my front bumper so I have to hit the breaks!! Here's just how mad it made me today...
Unfortunately, I don't think she got my point---did make me laugh though!

Aiden's Cat

Aiden brought this wonderful work home. I think the handwriting is SO NEAT for a 1st grade BOY and his cat drawing is STINKIN' CUTE so I had to post it! Great work my little first grader! I'm proud of how hard you work in school!

Parker's Brown Belt Test

This was a very exciting test for Parker---getting his Brown belt is a major achievement! He preformed each section FLAWLESSLY!! It's hard to express just how proud of him I am! Everything TKD stands for is found in this beautiful boy, YOU ROCK BUBBA! Love you!
This is where Master Chris is reviewing his preformance on each section of the test. (this pic was supposed to go at the end of this post; however, I can't get it to drag there!)
Part of his pattern---this is probably his strongest section!
Pattern
For this test, he had to break TWO boards (first time) two different ways and he only had 5 tries. This is a palm smash---broke it on the first try!
This is a standing back kick---he had to face away from Master Chris and kick the board from behind, kinda tricky! GREAT JOB PARKER!

I Got A "GIRL" Tent!

Can you BELIEVE IT!? I got my VERY OWN TENT! It's purple and pretty....it came with a Butterfly backpack, a butterfly flashlight, a waterbottle and even a HEADBAND! WHOO!! Whomever came up with this little package is a GENIUS! Not only boys like to camp, afterall. I got it from a friend for my birthday....I'm so lucky to have a wonderful family and good friends!

Even "the brothers" think it's cool!
Of course, I had to dress up for the BIG EVENT!

Press On Fingernails....ALREADY!?

For her birthday, this little honey received a set of press on "little girl" fingernails that had princesses on them and were tipped with different colored SPARKLY tops!! She LOVED THEM!! Man...how am I gonna top this?! A mother/daughter spa treatment, perhaps!?! NOT UNTIL SHE'S OLDER!! AHAHAHAAAHAHHAHAAAHHAHAHAHA! Have to send out a THANKS to our best girl GRACE for these...they were a HIT!

My Beautiful Baby Girl is 5!

I've been neglecting this blogsite---we have been very busy and at times I think, "what the heck am I doing this for!? No one REALLY gives a crap if I blog or not!". So, I stopped---but I missed it! Then I realized that I never posted pics of my beautiful Sweet Pea when she turned FIVE!! That got me motivated again! I guess it doesn't matter if people think I'm silly...I'm recording these things to let my kids know how much they mean to me and so they know I really, REALLY love them...in case, one day, I'm not here to tell them myself.
Here she is just being silly...those are my FAVORITE pics! REAL LIFE!
Innocense is STUNNING
Yes, she has a star on her foot
Love those pink bows and teal is so cute on her!
I know, I know...someday it's going to be a PROBLEM that she knows she's cute!
This is your typical Savannah Rayne...that face, the smile...it's so natural for her. She is SUCH a DELIGHT!
Got to get a picture of the WHOLE outfit! Those boots! Tee, hee....they had to sit for WEEKS before we could take these pictures....MAN! Was that a struggle for her!

Impromptu Pasta!

Parker decided he wanted to try the new SALAD dressing I bought on some PASTA! So...he and Chad "whipped up" TWO different kinds of pasta AND some grilled tomatoes with melted cheese! Parker even "plated" the dishes---yes, we like to watch the Food Network in this house!! Look at THESE GOODIES....YUMMY!
Working hard on the plating...
FANCY!
GREAT JOB BUBBA!! Way to go!
