Welcome to Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion! Every Labor Day weekend since 1954, generations of threshermen & women get together to relive the tradition of the good ol’ days and bring the past to life for the enjoyment of young and old alike. We’ll see you at the Hill, ‘Where the Sun Always Shines in Your Heart!’
It's our first time coming to Rollag & the kids weren't too sure what to expect! We stayed ALL day and had a TON of fun!
Aiden couldn't believe how BIG the tractors are!
They even had a little "old time" town with a Blacksmith shop! The kids got horseshoes and were able to watch men working in the shop!
The family...yes, that's an old gas pump we are in front of!
Ha, ha, ha....saw this sign at the old mill
My mom even had her OWN TRACTOR in the parade...driven by none other than G-pa Cottrell!! COOL!

Some of these old tractors didn't even have SEATS to sit on! YOWZA...that would make for some LONG days harvestin'!
John Deere GREEN!
There was a little exhibit of old water pumps...
A VERY old schoolhouse that was interactive for the kids! NEAT!
Even a General Store where you could get ICE CREAM!!
This was a horse-powered farmstead
A rather LARGE bull...look at that HEAD!! The kids got to sit on him, but not Savannah...she absolutely REFUSED to get too close!!
An actual school bus wagon from Callaway, MN!
The train that went around the grounds giving people rides

What a fun day!

At the tables, they had these Koala's gripping chocolates! FUN!

New Boots

So...here's the story. We have been invited to a suprise party for Chad's brother in the cities. We are going to a cool place for supper and then out for drinks...I was at Kohl's and grabbed a dress shirt and tie for Chad. Then it hit me - I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR!! So I grabbed a fun grey sweater with a large neck and THESE BOOTS!
GOOD GRIEF! Is it true? Am I FINALLY going to look somewhat fashionable?! PINCH ME!

It's that time of year again...BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT! Sniff, sniff...the tear...DROPS! How did it happen that my "baby" is now officially a 4th grader!?! I know I feel older, but sometimes when I look at these beautiful boys I see a little round head and bowed legs (parker) and a mischevious-toothless grin with BIG bright eyes that don't miss a thing (aiden). It's funny because they never went through an age such as the "terrible twos" - in fact, it seems that every year that passes I'm saying, "OH I LOVE this age"!! Even when things get stressful, I keep these tidbits in my heart for each of my children...
Parker and his buddies Nicholas & Austin...they live next to us and across the street...I think this is the first time they're all in the same class since kindergarten!
My locker!
Here's my desk and all my new supplies!
This is my cool teacher, Mrs. Alltobelli! I really like her!
Aiden's locker!
Aiden & Benny
His very first DESK!
And his lovely teacher, Mrs. Green...she is so soft spoken and sweet! A PERFECT teacher for our little Aiden Lee!

Parker & Nick keeping the younger kids busy while their brothers Aiden & Benny can listen to the "Rules of the Classroom"! Good job boys!!

Savannah starts PRESCHOOL!
What a proud day for our little lady! She couldn't WAIT to dress up in her new "school clothes" & "start learnin' mom"! It's so hard for me to believe that she is 4...and then she starts talking! ha, ha,ha...
Nice Pose!
This is our "traditional" back to school shot!
Outside on the steps...I just love those shoes (that, by the way, she picked out herself!)
Headin' to the truck

We are proud of you honey and know you will have a BLAST at preschool!
